Ice Hockey Men's League

Ice Hockey Men's League

Legacy Sports Arena provides a dynamic new experience for the amateur hockey player and spectators at our state-of-the-art facility located in Arizona at I-17 and the 303. Our Legacy League provides weeknight games for all levels of play starting with beginner leagues, C, B and A level.

Finding your level of play in this new start-up league is what we are all about. One-time evaluations will occur in Fall 2020 before the season begins on a first come first serve basis for those individuals looking to join a team. Up to four slots in each league are also available for teams already put together and ready to sign up. Team Captain must meet with League Commissioner for application review and acceptance of their team on a first come basis.

While we expect many players to sign up for the leagues, we will do our best to fit you in if you sign up early.

Organizaton of the league will be as follows:

  • Up to 8 teams (18 skaters and a goalie) formed for each level and night of play. We limit the number of teams to ensure we have no late games. Games have 3 each 15-minute periods with a minute in between.
  • Start times for ALL games will be between 7:00 and 9:30.
  • Both Fall and Spring Seasons will include 21 regular season games. The top 4 teams in each league make the playoffs.
  • Each team will play two Feature Games at some point during the season. You will be the home team for one game and the away team for the other.

Feature Games Will Replicate the NHL Experience as Much as Possible!

  • Game played on our Featured Veterans rink beginning around 7 PM with overhead video board replay operational.
  • Teams will occupy upgraded locker rooms before and throughout the game.
  • Play includes 3 periods at 20 minutes each with teams returning to locker rooms and ice cut in between periods. Overtimes are a 5 minute 3 on 3 followed by a shoot-out if still tied.
  • Teams warm up for 10 minutes prior to game and leave ice to locker rooms.
  • Home team highlighted with lighting, announcer and music upon entry.
  • Starting line-ups for both teams announced. Full teams join thereafter for the playing of our National Anthem.
  • 4-man referee crew. Goals light up upon scoring. Broadcaster announcing penalties and scoring recap. Game video recorded.
  • Each team coach awarded 40 prime seating tickets (higher premium bucket seats between blue lines) two weeks ahead of game with assigned seat numbers entitling the winning team fans and players 25% off all food and beverage with the losing team and fans receiving 10% off on game night.
